In particular, the microbiota of solid rumen contents from bloated steers contained higher species richness and diversity. Development of bloat was associated with considerable shifts in the microbiota profile of rumen contents. Eleven out of 12 steers in pure alfalfa pasture developed clinical bloat, whereas ALFASURE treatment prevented the development of bloat in all 12 steers and alfalfa – sainfoin prevented bloat in 5 out of 11 steers. In a 3 × 3 crossover experiment, twelve rumen-cannulated steers were sequentially subjected to: (1) pure alfalfa pasture, (2) pure alfalfa pasture supplemented with the pluronic detergent ALFASURE, and (3) alfalfa – sainfoin mixed pasture. The aim of this study was to investigate ruminal and fecal microbiota dynamics associated with development of alfalfa-induced frothy bloat and to further explore how bloat prevention strategies influence the composition of these microbial communities.
I'm not convinced it's endo, but I'm at the point where I will try anything and need to rule it out.Frothy bloat is an often fatal digestive disorder of cattle grazing alfalfa pastures. BC regulated that, but I was never checked to see if maybe endo was the problem.
I am like you where before I was on BC, my periods would cause me to throw up and be very sick. I'm running out of ideas, so I scheduled a appointment with my gyno to be checked for endometriosis. I cut out diary for three weeks and still bloated during this period so I don't think it's a lactose issue. I'm not convinced it's a diet issue, mainly because some mornings I will wake up and after a few hours be severely bloated when I haven't eaten and all I've had to drink is water and had a bowel movement the night before. and they cannot find any reason for my bloating. I have seen a GI doctor and have gone through so many tests with no results (other than finding out I have GERD) - colonoscopy, endoscopy, small bowel series, CT scan, tested for celiac, etc.
But have not seen any weight loss any help please?ĭo you have any updates on this? I have been experiencing severe bloating, to the point where I also look pregnant, for about two years. I consume around 1650 calories because I am on deficit. Some background info: I am 5'2, weight around 166, I weight lift 3-4 times a week and cardio 2-3 times a week. It also seems like my cycle is late more late. During my cycle I start very light the first 2-3 days. I also get horrible ovulation pain for about two days and will get immediately bloated for this as well. By the end of the day I feel like I am going to pop. My stomach does not hurt at all just bloated. I am not exaggerating if I am not sucking it like I do often and let out my stomach becomes very rounded like If I am pregnant. I could wake up with my regular stomach and then have coffee or even water and bam I am super bloated to the point where my stomach looks like I'm 7 months pregnant. However, I have noticed that I am bloated about 90% of the time. So I am currently in the process of trying to loose weight. Hello everyone, first time poster here so please bare with me.
